Mesut Özil has set itself the goal of giving disadvantaged children and young people a chance for a better life.
With BigShoe he has been helping children from poor backgrounds with life-changing operations every month since 2012. Özil has already financed more than 2500 operations by German doctors worldwide. In 2020, operations were carried out in India, Cameroon, Myanmar and Tanzania through his support.
